{Fanny Cooks} 3 Ingredients Japanese Cheesecake

FINALLY. A cake that husband approves! He is always very picky when it comes to cake, so to hear him saying, “Not bad at all!”, I was like whooo!!

I have been wanting to try one of Ochikeron’s recipes, and this is my choice. I was a bit skeptical cause well, only three ingredients? For real?

But anyway, that’s also good cause if this also failed, means that I wouldn’t feel so much of guilt. *stingy*

And I didn’t make any modification at all! I only resorted to using different mold lol.

The texture would look like it’s undercooked by the time it is done. But just let it cool completely, and put it in the fridge. It tastes better overnight!

{Fanny Cooks} Macaroni and Cheese

Why is it that I never have luck with anything related to cheese?

Was craving for macaroni and cheese after seeing this recipe and it looked pretty easy so I surrendered to temptation and decided to make it for my dinner last night.

While the result was not that bad, I still feel that it was galaxies away from the one I expected. Sigh. Me and my non-existent talent in cooking.

Anyway, here’s my modified recipe, if anyone’s interested.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr macaroni
  • 250 ml milk (I used low-fat one) – This amount may change cause you still need to add more milk when you cook the macaroni, so just keep 1 L of it around.
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 sausages, chopped.
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • Some parmesan (or basically any shredded cheese you have ready)
  • Pepper to taste

How to:

  1. Mix the butter and the milk in a pan. Bring to boil.
  2. Toss macaroni in it, keep mixing until it’s al dente. Don’t let it dry. Keep adding milk as much as you need.
  3. Put sausages into it. Cooked until it’s done.
  4. Put the sliced and shredded cheese into it. Mix again.
  5. Add some pepper to taste.

Some notes:

  • Sausages – the original recipe calls for 4 pieces, but with the sizes, I found in Singapore’s grocery shop, two or three pieces would be enough
  • I skipped the salt as well cause the cheese that I used is already salty enough.
  • I skipped the egg as well cause I didn’t feel like eating an egg on top of cheese and milk, lol.

{Fanny Cooks} Pisang Gulung Saus Keju (Rolled Banana with Cheese Sauce)

I made another attempt of baking snacks for Zal. But the boy wasn’t really interested in it. I wonder why 😐 Perhaps I offered it at the wrong time? Anyway… here goes the recipe and how to bake it. It’s pretty simple that you can just whip it up in 30 mins.

Ingredients:

  • Banana
  • Corn flour + water = cornflour liquid
  • Cheese (I used mozzarella)
  • Fresh milk
  • Wholemeal bread
  • Butter

How to:

  1. Dip bread into milk, put the banana on it, and roll
  2. Make the cheese sauce: mix cheese and milk, heat it, put in the cornflour liquid. Keep heating until it pops bubbles. Turn off the stove, and let it cool.
  3. Put the banana roll in your silicone cups that already have butter spread on it (or whatever mold you have).
  4. Pour the cheese sauce onto it.
  5. Bake with 160 degrees for 20 mins.

{Fanny Cooks} Perkedel Panggang (Baked Mashed Potatoes)

Ever since I bought a real oven (REAL, as in having a function to really bake, haha), I have been itching to make something for Zal’s snacks! This weekend, I managed to make one, whohooo!

So what did I make?

(easy, just see the title above, lol)

Ok, anyway here are the ingredients:

  • 3 medium sized potatoes, steamed, mashed
  • 100 gr minced beef
  • ½ of onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 200 ml water (or broth, if you have)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • salt and pepper to season
  • cheese for topping

How to?

  1. Stir fry the onion and garlic
  2. Put the beef, stir-fry until it changes color
  3. Put the flour, stir until it becomes a lump
  4. Add water little by little, keep stirring
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste
  6. Put the potatoes, fold, leave to cool
  7. Crack the egg, fold.
  8. Put into the molds (I use silicone cups), top with cheese
  9. Bake at 160 degrees for about 30 mins

Jadi ceritanya saya mau mulai ngumpulin resep2 turunan (turunan? hahaha) buah. Mau hidup lebih sehat, tapi juga tetap mau makan enak, nyahahaha :p
